Bullion
American Eagles, Maple Leafs, Krugerrands, generic rounds, and bars in gold, silver, or platinum. We weigh, test purity, and price against the current spot market.
Sterling silver
Flatware sets, tea services, trays, and hollowware marked .925 or "sterling." We check markings and weight to determine silver content, separate from any collectible or maker value.
Scrap metal
Broken chains, single earrings, dental gold, and other precious metal items no longer in wearable or usable condition. These are valued by metal content once tested.

Understanding this distinction is the single most useful thing to know before selling gold or silver.
Metal (bullion) pricing
Most bullion, sterling, and scrap items are priced primarily on weight and purity relative to the live spot price of gold, silver, or platinum. This price moves throughout the trading day, so an offer reflects the market at the time you sell, not a fixed number.
Numismatic (collector) value
Some coins made of gold or silver are worth meaningfully more than their metal content because of rarity, date, mint mark, or condition. Before pricing anything as scrap or bullion, we check whether it might actually be worth more as a collectible — this is a step some buyers skip, and we don't.

Before you come in
What to bring
- The items as-is — no need to clean or polish silver beforehand
- Any certificates of authenticity for bullion products, if you have them
- Original packaging or tubes for bullion coins, if available (not required)
- A valid photo ID
